Keeping your wiper blades and bulbs in good condition is one of the simplest ways to maintain your vehicle's roadworthiness - and both are MOT failure points if they're not working correctly.
Wiper blades should be replaced every 12 months or sooner if you notice streaking, squeaking or reduced visibility in rain. Most wiper blades clip onto the arm and can be swapped in minutes without any tools.
Bulbs - headlights, brake lights and indicators - should be checked regularly. A failed brake light is not only an MOT failure but also a safety risk. Many bulbs can be replaced at home, though some modern vehicles require panel removal and may be easier to bring to a garage.
If you're unsure whether your vehicle needs either of these checked, bring it in to Diesel Vehicle Services and we'll take a look as part of our free visual health check.
