Who is responsible for your information?

Diesel Vehicle Services is responsible for personal information collected through this website. Our workshop is at Unit 1, New Nursery Farm, Risborough Road, Kingsey, HP17 8LT.

For privacy questions or requests, email dieselvehicleservices@gmail.com or call 07960 639310.

When you make an enquiry

We ask for your name and phone number so we can respond. You may also provide an email address, vehicle make and model, the service you need and a message. Please only include information relevant to your vehicle enquiry.

We use these details to answer you, discuss availability and quotations, and arrange requested work. The basis for this processing is taking steps at your request before entering a contract, or carrying out a contract with you. We use our legitimate interests to deal with general correspondence and protect the website against misuse.

Submitting an enquiry does not sign you up for marketing or confirm a booking. Name and phone number are needed for the online form; the other fields are optional.

Website hosting and service providers

Netlify hosts this website and processes form submissions. Enquiry notifications go to our business Gmail inbox. These providers process information needed to deliver their services, including technical details such as IP address, browser information, request time and the page used to send an enquiry.

We use this information to run the website, deliver your enquiry and prevent spam or abuse. Service providers may process information outside the UK, including in the United States. Their published privacy information and data-processing terms describe their handling and transfer safeguards: Netlify privacy information, Netlify data-processing information and Google privacy information. Contact us if you would like more information about the providers used for your enquiry.

Optional Google Analytics

Google Analytics loads only if you accept analytics cookies. It helps us understand page visits, clicks on phone links and successful enquiry submissions. Analytics uses cookie identifiers and information about your browser, device and use of the website. A phone-link click does not tell us whether a call was completed.

Our analytics events do not include your name, phone number, email address, vehicle details or message. We exclude URL query strings and do not enable advertising personalisation through this implementation.

Analytics is based on your consent. You can decline it and still use the whole website. Use Cookie settings at the bottom of any page to change your choice. Withdrawing consent stops future collection; it does not undo processing that took place before withdrawal. How Google uses information from partner sites.

Cookies and browser preferences

  • Analytics cookies: cookies whose names start with _ga distinguish visits and sessions. Our configured expiry is 180 days and may refresh when you visit with analytics enabled. Declining analytics removes these cookies from this site.
  • Analytics choice: dvs-analytics-consent is stored in your browser for 180 days to remember acceptance or refusal. It is not used to track you.
  • Display preference: dvs-theme remembers the light, dark or system appearance you select until you change it or clear your browser storage.

You can also clear cookies and site storage using your browser settings. This may reset your preferences.

Maps, videos, fonts and external links

The Google map and embedded TikTok videos load only when you choose their load buttons. Loading them connects your browser to the relevant provider, which can receive connection information and use cookies under its own policies. You can use the workshop address or open the original map or video instead.

Page fonts are delivered by Google Fonts, which receives the connection information needed to serve them. Links to Google Maps, Facebook and other external services take you to websites with their own privacy arrangements. See Google's privacy information and TikTok's privacy information.

How long information is needed

Enquiry records are needed while we answer your request and deal with related follow-up. Where an enquiry leads to work, relevant records may be needed for the service history, warranty questions, accounting obligations or a dispute. These purposes determine the retention period rather than a single period for every enquiry. Contact us to ask about a particular record or request deletion.

The browser preference and cookie periods are described above. Clearing cookies does not delete an enquiry already submitted to us.

Your rights and questions

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access or correct your information, have it deleted, restrict its use, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or receive information you provided in a portable form. These rights are subject to legal limits. We may need to confirm your identity before responding.

Please contact us using the details above. You can also raise a concern with the UK's Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

Optional analytics cookies

With your permission, we use Google Analytics to understand page visits, call-button clicks and successful enquiries. We don't send your name, contact details or message to Google.

You can use the whole site without analytics. We remember your choice for 180 days; change it any time in Cookie settings. How Google uses this information.
